Two New York City children reported missing on Monday were located more than 100 miles from home after taking a ride in one of their parents’ Range Rover.
Police said the kids — ages 12 and 7 — are cousins, according to NBC News. The parents notified police around 10 a.m., saying they believed the kids had taken their vehicle in Queens and were headed toward Staten Island.
When they tried to use a parent’s credit card at a rest stop near the New Jersey/Delaware border, the children’s whereabouts were discovered. Delaware police stopped the kids after they drove over a bridge headed into the state. The police held onto the kids until they were reunited with their families.
No other details about the incident were made available.
