Twitter ripped rapper Killer Mike a new one for his NRA interview about supporting his second amendment rights. However, Mike has since responded with an apology and criticism against the NRA for presenting him as someone who “knows how guns can solve the problems society faces.”
It wasn’t just the fact that they posted the interview, but they did it on the day of the March For Our Lives demonstration as if Mike were against the cause. Deliberately mocking the students who worked so hard to produce the influential demonstration.
In the interview, which Mike confirms was recorded over a week before the NRA posted it, the activist details what he told his kids the morning of the school walkout. He said,
“I told my kids ‘I love you, if you walk out of the school, walk out of my house.’ That simple. We are a gun owning family.”
Twitter was upset about the way the propaganda was used and they snapped on Killer Mike for even speaking with the NRA. Mike took to Twitter to clear up the discrepancy. He assured the #MarchForOurLives supporters that the likes of some of his own interests were even there at the march as well!
I hope this clears some stuff up. Love and Respect to all. Part 1 pic.twitter.com/pq977HEG7A
