A photo of Kim Kardashian wearing a long braided hairstyle is being featured as an “African hairstyle” at a hair salon in Brussels, Belgium.
The image of the 41-year-old with her long dark hair intricately braided in a style known as “Fulani Braids” is most likely being used without her permission.
Fulani braids are attributed to an ethnic group who hail from West Africa, where the hairdo is a popular stable of the native women.
Instagram account Diet Prada posted the photo taken outside of a hair salon in Brussels on their account and discussed Kardashian’s use of traditional African hairstyles in the past, including her recent Vogue shoot.
The Reality TV star and her famous family have been accused of cultural appropriation in the past. She has not addressed this recent controversy.
