Kanye West has had an extremely rocky relationship with pop singer Taylor Swift. Now, after years of seemingly on-again off-again feuding, the rapper’s wife is over having to “defend” her husband.
In an upcoming episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” Kim Kardashian-West expresses her sentiments on Swift’s reaction to Kanye’s rap lyrics about the singer. “I never talk sh*t about anyone, like publicly, like, especially in interviews, but I was just like ‘I’ve so had it,’” Kim stated in reference to her recent GQ interview. “I just felt like I wanted to defend him in it, cause it’s like, she [Taylor Swift] legitimately quote says, ‘As soon as I get on that Grammy red carpet, I’m gonna tell all the press, like, “I was in on it.”’”
“Just another way to play the victim,” Kim later added, “She even helped him, like, rewrite.” Kim went on to say in response to her sister’s inquiry about what made the singer change her mind.
“I feel like I’ve had it with people blatantly treating my husband a certain way and making him look a certain way,” Kim went on to explain. “Kanye is always so honest and speaks his mind. When we were first dating, everyone would talk sh-t about me and he always had my back. At this point, I really don’t give a f–k so I’ll do whatever to protect my husband.”
Kim also went into he thoughts on the 2009 VMA incident involving Kanye and Taylor Swift. “Yeah, Kanye definitely hurt her years ago when he did that but it wasn’t meant to be personal,” she said. “It could have been anyone ’cause we all know that ‘Single Ladies’ was the biggest song of the year so I think when [Beyonce] didn’t win, he just wanted to stand up for it.”
