Kim Kardashian Is Not a Trump Supporter, She’s Just “Smart Enough” to Use Her Connections To Help Her Cause

Despite Kim Kardashian’s recent alignment with Donald #Trump, the reality star is making it clear that their relationship is strictly business, and does not reflect her personal political beliefs. 

“Kim did not support Trump, and her family didn’t support him,” a source tells PEOPLE of Kardashian’s positive relationship with the Celebrity-in-Chief, adding that the reality star is simply using it to her advantage. 

“She knows that she has a very rare opportunity to have the ear of the president,” the source said, “and she has some things that she’s very passionate about, and is willing to meet with him to talk about the things she believes.” 

As of late, Kardashian has been using her platform to tackle prison reform, in fact, earlier this year, Kardashian encouraged the Celebrity-in-Chief to commute the sentence of Alice Marie Johnson. 

Since then, the reality star has taken her talents back to the White House to further discuss clemency and reform for non-violent offenders. 

“She believes that she can meet with Trump without being a die-hard supporter,” the source said. “She has a message for him  and goes to talk to him. It’s a very rare opportunity. She’s smart enough to use it.” 

Despite Kardashian’s lack of support for the Celebrity-in-Chief, her husband has been very vocal on his support of Trump, as he continues to sport his very own “MAGA” hat.
