On Saturday, Kim Kardashian West made her hosting debut on “Saturday Night Live” and took a few humorous jabs at her mom, Kris Jenner, her estranged husband, Kayne West, her infamous sex tape, and O.J. Simpson.
Kim starts by saying she wasn’t expecting to host because she hasn’t had a movie out in a while, referencing her infamous sex tape.
“I mean, actually, I only had that one movie come out and no one told me it was even premiering. It must have slipped my mom’s mind.”
West then talks about her late father, Robert Kardashian, and how he influenced her. Kim mentions how he opened her eyes to racial injustice. She then switches to the topic of OJ Simpson, whom her father represented in the stabbing murder case of his ex-wife. Kim jokes about how she could never forget meeting OJ.
“Now, you know, my father was and still is such an influence and inspiration to me, and I credit him with really opening up my eyes to racial injustice. It’s because of him that I met my first Black person. Want to take a stab in the dark at who it was? I know it’s sort of weird to remember the first Black person you met, but O.J. does leave a mark, or several, or none at all. I still don’t know.”
Kim took innocent hits at her mom and her stepfather, Caitlin Jenner.
“Remember, I’m a Kim, not a Karen. And honestly, with all of the K names, It’s really impressive that my mom didn’t pick Karen, I mean somehow she just knew. I don’t know how she saw that one coming and not Caitlin.”
Towards the end of her monologue, the influencer took one last jab at Kayne West by poking fun at his attempt to run for president.
“Now I know we’re divided as a country, but I’d love America to come together. Which is why I’m here to announce that I’m running for..I’m just kidding. I’m not running for president. We can’t have three failed politicians in one family.”
After taking shots at her family, Kim decided to go for the sketch comedy show itself.
“I’m so used to my 360 million followers watching my every move,” she said, sweetly. “How many watch SNL? Like, 10 million? Tonight is a chill intimate night for me.”
