“Don’t Be Tardy” on that payment is what Kim Zolciak-Biermann should have been singing as news of her home foreclosure sent Real Housewives fans reeling.
On Tuesday, it was reported that the mansion belonging to the former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and her husband, Kroy Biermann, no longer belonged to them. According to the court documents, the couple lost their $2.6 million house after taking out a $300k loan against it and defaulting on it. They bought the Georgia property in 2013, which will now be sold on the first Tuesday in November.
The gorgeous 6,907-square-foot structure sits on the Manor Golf & Country Club property near a lake. In addition to other opulent features that the new owners will find suitable, it has five bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms, a six-car garage, and an in-ground pool.
Kim began her “Housewives” career in 2008 when the Atlanta leg of the series premiered. She remained on the show through season five, after which she landed her own reality show on Bravo, “Don’t Be Tardy,” which focused on her family life. The show ran for eight seasons before being canceled in 2021. Kim appeared several times on “RHOA” as a friend of the show following her exit, but the 42-year-old never returned as a full-time cast member. Biermann made the bulk of his wealth during his time in the NFL from 2008 to 2015. He spent most of his professional career with the Atlanta Falcons before heading to the Buffalo Bills.
It is unclear what caused the couple to fall behind on the loan payments, especially considering that Kim owns several businesses, including her beauty line Kashmere Kollections and KAB Cosmetics, with her daughters Ariana and Brielle.
Neither Kim nor Kroy has responded publicly to the foreclosure news.
