Kimora Lee lashed out at her ex-husband Russell Simmons, claiming he is an absent father who harasses and manipulates her children.
The family drama unfolded on Father’s Day after daughter Ming Lee Simmons shared a throwback photo of her and Lee on Instagram with the caption, “Happy Father’s Day.” This led to Russ sharing a message, apparently, a shot at Lee, eluding to her turning their daughters against him. Lee did not take this lightly, getting on Instagram and addressing the ongoing issues with her and her ex. Lee claimed that Russ had harassed her family, even sending himself flowers and claiming they were from her. She also shared that he cut off her daughters financially while they were in college, claiming the music mogul is now broke.
Before long, the former lover’s daughter Aoki got on IG Live to defend Lee, backing the claims that her father had threatened and abandoned them. She even accused her dad of refusing to send her an Uber during a night out, telling her to take public transportation and wishing her “good luck.” Taking things a step further, Aoki shared a video of Russ screaming into the camera but chose not to have the audio played. Russ even joined the Live at one point, apologizing to her for his actions.

Her mother also shared a screenshot of his daughter texting with Russ, which detailed why she no longer speaks to him. Per the image, Aoki said that their communication affected her mental health. Lee maintains the strained relationship between Russ and their girls has nothing to do with her and everything with him mistreating the young women.
Russ fled to Bali several years amidst abuse allegations, which came out in the 2020 “On The Record” documentary. Aoki believes he is overseas due to his inability to accept responsibility for things, though she did not detail what.
