Kirk Franklin ends the confusion and proves that he and Plies are not the same person.
For a while, Kirk and Plies have confused fans with their resemblance. Many have coined the two artists as twins and even claim that Plies is Kirk’s alter ego.
However, Kirk have finally set the record straight that they are two separate individuals. The gospel singer recently sat down with Angela Yee for what seems to be an interview and proved he is not the rapper.
In a video posted to Kirk’s Instagram account, the singer is seen on FaceTime speaking to his “twin” before pointing the phone towards the camera.
“I am not he and he is not I,” Kirk says.
Kirk then tells Plies he’s been trying to get in contact with him to discuss helping the state of Florida following Hurricane Ian.
“I’ve been trying to reach out to you for the longest,” he says to Plies. “Listen man, we’re gonna do something for Florida right? So me and my twin, we’re coming to Florida. And we’re gonna help the people. From the Franklin boys.”
Plies recently demanded that the government help aid Florida families after the destruction of the massive hurricane. The rapper tweeted his concerns and says since the government can send money to help Ukraine, they can do the same for Florida.
“Dear America: If We Can Give Ukraine & Ukrainians Over $15.2 Billion To Fight A War,” Plies began the tweet. “It’s No Way In Hell Any Americans Needing Assistant After Hurricane Ian Should Go Without. U Politicians Ask Us For Our Votes Not Ukrainians!!”
