As the world continues to mourn the loss of Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, and the other passengers that were on board of the helicopter, the tributes continue.
According to TMZ, the UFC is planning on honoring the legendary NBA star, will be honored by the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
This honor is even more special because Bryant was also a UFC fan as well as an investor.
According to President of the UFC Dana White, 2019 was the most successful year ever for the UFC on record, this resulting in huge distribution checks for all investors.
“Kobe got a distribution from the UFC the Wednesday before the incident, and he was so pumped up and excited and he said what everybody always says, ‘I wish I had invested more,’” said White.
Bryant also had an ownership stake in Body Armor, the UFC’s official energy drink.
White also revealed that the UFC plans to honor Kobe Saturday, at UFC 247 in Houston, TMZ Sports reports.
Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes will battle for the title tonight at 10:00 pm est.
