Kobe Bryant’s mom has raked in a hefty amount of dough after selling her son’s memorabilia. Remember earlier this year Kobe tried to stop his mother from auctioning several of his belongings including trophies, jerseys and even a championship ring. In a recent settlement Kobe asked for a letter of apology from his parents and in return he would let them auction off 10% of the items.
Everyone agreed to the terms and now the auction has taken place. Pamela Bryant auctioned off several items from Kobe’s sports memorabilia collection, and made off with a hefty $450,000. Among the items sold were Kobe’s 2000 NBA Championship ring, 2000 All-Star ring, a used high school uniform, a used Lakers uniform, and his American flag Adidas sneakers. The Championship ring brought in the most loot, topping off at $165,890.
I guess everyone got what they wanted.
