Rapper Kodak Black and his entourage were involved in a shooting early Monday morning at a fast-food restaurant in Tallahassee, Florida. The shooting left one of the rapper’s security guards in serious condition.
According to TMZ, gunfire erupted around 3 AM at a Tallahassee McDonald’s. Law enforcement shared that shots were fired from a vehicle that was previously tailing Kodak’s car. Preliminary investigative reports stated that Kodak’s car was being followed by several cars attempting to cut them off as they left a nightclub. Kodak’s crew pulled into the McDonald’s and blocked the entrance with a car while Kodak went inside to pick up his order. The same car tailing Kodak and co earlier appeared in the parking lot, left, and then returned, and that’s when its occupants began shooting.
A security guard was shot in the leg and taken to a Tallahassee hospital, while Kodak was rushed away in an armored vehicle. As of Monday, the security guard was undergoing surgery after being shot.
Kodak was in town headlining Cultur3 Fest, a large all-day music festival held over the weekend.
