Kodak Black is over his dreams of a collab album with Drake after years of pushing for the project.
The “No Flockin” star hopped on IG Live with RapTV, where he let fans know that the joint venture was no longer on his mind. While this may be a bummer to fans, Kodak seemingly felt slighted by Drake releasing an album with 21 Savage, or “Lil buddy,” as he referred to him. Quite the courteous businessman, Yak made sure he informed Drake first that their work together was off the table.
“I had told Drake I don’t wanna do no collab. No songs or no album,” he said.
Yak has been vocal about his desire to team up with the OVO founder since at least 2020. Drake has also previously praised Kodak’s music, so it appeared that the stars had perfectly aligned for an EP of that magnitude to take place. Sadly, the world has missed out on yet another great joint venture, as Boosie also shelved his collaborative album with T.I. earlier this week.
If you recall, 21 and Kodak have not exactly been friendly since the Atlanta rapper claimed he’d “smoke” the Florida MC in a Verzuz battle. Kodak was also rubbed the wrong way when 21 seemingly referenced Yak’s low album sales.

Drake has not responded to Kodak declining the potential album.
