Kodak Black is officially headed home.
On Wednesday, celebrity attorney Bradford Cohen, who has represented Kodak several times, confirmed that his drug charges had been dropped. The “No Flockin” star has been held for two months at the Federal Detention Center in Miami after being arrested back in December. Police discovered Kodak asleep in his car and located a white substance, which they initially claimed was cocaine. However, it seems that later tests determined the powder was oxycodone, which the rapper has a prescription for. Days ago, it was widely reported that Kodak would likely have the charges dismissed, and now we know the Florida superstar is headed home.
“Federal Probation terminated with time served,” Cohen wrote in an Instagram post. “In the Southern District of Florida Judge Martinez dismissed all substantive counts, and Kodak plead to sole violation of failure to report police contact. Time served, and he should be released by tonight,” Cohen wrote on his Instagram page.
While the drugs in Kodaks’s vehicle may have turned out to be legal, shortly after his December arrest, the rapper admitted to an extensive history of drug abuse over the years. During an Instagram Live, he shared that he’d been addicted to the oxycodone pills after they were prescribed to him in February 2022 after he was shot in the leg.
“I’ll tell God himself I do Percs and sh*t like that, but them was my medicine prescribed to me. Even before I got shot and I had got prescribed to them again, I could say that I had started damn abusing [them],” Yak admitted, adding that he had tried rehab to no avail.

Hopefully, Kodak can address his substance abuse in the near future, though criminally, he is off the hook.
