Kodak Black‘s attorney is fighting to get his drug possession case dismissed, calling it a complete waste of taxpayer money.
Back in July 2022, Kodak was arrested in Ft. Lauderdale and charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of trafficking oxycodone. However, Bradford Cohen, the rapper’s attorney, filed a motion to dismiss, claiming testing of a sample of the pills showed they were just Tylenol.
According to TMZ, Cohen is now accusing the Broward Sheriff’s Office of a massive cover-up that also involves FBI agent James Mitchell, who the attorney says has something against his client.
Cohen says the pills that were tested were destroyed in the process, and claims officials never provided any report, except for a report that shows they were over-the-counter pain medication. The filing also goes on to accuse prosecutors of withholding a body cam video of an officer surveilling Kodak.
According to the motion, the entire case has been a “coordinated takedown” of the “Super Gremlin” rapper, and as a result, according to Cohen, should be dismissed.Â
