Kourtney Kardashian Barker isn’t here for following the rules, especially when it comes to parenting.
On the latest episode of Khloé in Wonder Land podcast, the reality star and wellness brand founder made it clear that she’s not into the idea of traditional school.
While revisiting old family drama and her journey through therapy, Kourtney explained that healing made her start questioning everything, including how her family functions.
“I like doing the opposite of what’s expected,” Kourtney said. “I don’t just go along with things because it’s what everyone else is doing.”
She said, “Why do kids even go to school? It’s so outdated.”
Kourtney said whenever she brings up topics like this, her kids chime in too, sending her videos of successful people who never followed the traditional school path.
“If one of my kids says they want to do homeschool, I’m down. Let’s figure it out,” she said. “I’m not into just going with what society says is normal.”
She also shared how she handles parenting differently like treating fevers with rest and care instead of immediately reaching for medication.
To her, it’s about trusting her gut and letting her kids guide the process too. “In the U.S., things are very by-the-book. But in other parts of the world, more people are starting to think like this,” she added.
Call it unconventional, but for Kourtney, it’s all about doing what works for her family, no matter how “controversial” it sounds.
As you know, Kourtney is mom to four kids: Mason, Penelope, Reign, and baby Rocky.
