Kraft Macaroni and Cheese ice cream is making a comeback!
Following its unexpected debut in July 2021, the distinctive Van Leeuwen flavor will be available at Walmart outlets starting October 23, alongside six additional limited-edition flavors.
These macaroni and cheese-inspired pints are crafted using authentic powdered cheese from Kraft’s macaroni boxes, faithfully recreating the flavors of the nostalgic bowl of comfort “you grew up with.” Initially, the cheesy ice cream was exclusively offered online. However, in March 2022, it briefly hit the shelves of Walmart stores across the country. Now, this $5 treat will be accessible until December 26th.
Among the six additional Van Leeuwen flavors, there’s another savory choice: dill pickle. This dill pickle flavor blends sweet pickle ice cream with a dill pickle swirl, creating a sweet and salty combination. The freezer section also features winter-themed options such as peppermint stick, caramel sticky bun, peanut butter fudge pretzel, kettle corn, and holiday cookies and cream.
Lately, Kraft has been focusing on reviving its products. In September, the brand officially reintroduced Spongebob Squarepants mac and cheese after thousands of emails to their CEO, a Change.org petition, and pleas on social media. According to a Kraft representative, the Spongebob macaroni had not been widely available to consumers for the past decade. Each box contains noodles shaped like the show’s characters. These nostalgic noodles are available in both the classic blue box packaging and Easy Mac cups at grocery stores nationwide.
