The parent company of American retail company Kroger has issued a recall of several baked products.
Kroger sent out a recall for several Country Oven brands earlier this month after metal pieces were found in 19 food items. Kroger says the metal pieces unintentionally may have been baked into the starch. The recalled items include:
- Cinnamon Rolls in 4-ounce and 2.5-ounce packages
- White Cake
- Chocolate Cake
- White/Vanilla Cake
- Yellow/Vanilla Cake
- Chocolate/Vanilla Cake
- Yellow Cake
- Bowtie Danish
- Cheese Pocket
- Angel Food Cake
- Yellow/Fudge Cake
- Red Velvet Cake
- Marble Cake
- Chocolate/Fudge Cake Single Slices
- Yellow/Caramel Cake Single Slices
- Caramel Apple Double Layer Cake
- Boston Cream Cake Double Layer Cake
- Raspberry Cake
- Party Balloon Cake
The recall states the products were sold in nearly 30 states. Those who bought or may have bought any of the items are asked to discard them or return them back immediately.
