Kurupt Says He Did Not Leave Estranged Wife Over Cancer Diagnosis and Have Been Separated For The Past 8 Years

Last month, we reported that Kurupt’s estranged wife, Javon Brown, had filed for divorce and was abandoned after being diagnosed with cancer.

Well, it seems that Kurupt is singing a different tune. According to The Blast, the rapper says that they split years prior and has helped with Brown’s medical bills after their breakup.

Brown is seeking $14,413 a month in spousal support. According to Brown, the couple were married in 2007 and separated in 2017. She claims that Kurupt removed all of the money from their business accounts and removed her access.

On July 2nd, Kurupt filed new documents and says that Brown’s allegations are false. The rapper states that they did not separate in 2017 more so in 2010 and has been living apart since then. He also claims that Brown was in another relationship in 2012 and lasted until 2015. The Blast states that Brown has claimed to be in a romantic relationship with ex-NBA player Gary Payton.

Kurupt says that he had remove Brown’s access to the business accounts because she was using his company to pay her personal expenses, withdrew money without his knowledge, and had his royalties diverted into her personal account. The rapper says she owes him about $175K.

Kurupt also adds that he did not leave Brown after her cancer diagnosis. He says she was diagnosed several years after split and has loaned her money for medical expenses. He is asking the court to deny her request for spousal support or attorney fees.
