Ky’Air Thomas, Twin Baby Abducted In December, Has Died

Baby Ky’air Thomas, one of the twins rescued following a nationwide Amber Alert, has died.

Columbus Division of Police we’re dispatched to a home on East Whittier Street for a call of a baby not breathing, a spokesperson reported. The baby was taken to Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where medics pronounced him dead, police said.

The cause of death is unknown. The Columbus Division of Police is actively investigating the incident.

Last month, Ky’air and his twin brother Kason were five months old when they were abducted. The twins were inside their mother’s running car that was stolen outside a Donato’s restaurant, NBC 4i reported.

Authorities found Ky’air in a parking lot at Dayton International Airport a few hours later. However, baby Kason was still missing.

Nalah Jackson was arrested on Dec. 22 in connection to the case. Baby Kason was found a few days later inside the stolen vehicle outside a Papa John’s pizza restaurant in Indianapolis.

Jackson now faces local and federal kidnapping charges.
