Kyle Rittenhouse is planning to take legal action against public figures who called him a ‘murderer.’
On Monday, Rittenhouse told Tucker Carlson on Fox News that his team is launching a “Media Accountability Project“ to hold the press responsible for slandering his name.
“I and my team have decided to launch the Media Accountability Project,” Rittenhouse said, “as a tool to help fundraise and hold the media accountable for the lies they say and deal with them in court.”
In regards to dealing with the media, Rittenhouse stated that he “doesn’t want to see anybody go through what I went through.”
When asked who he would target, Rittenhouse answered, “a few politicians, celebrities, athletes,” and specifically mentioned Whoopi Goldberg.
“Right now, we’re looking at quite a few politicians, celebrities, athletes. Whoopi Goldberg is on the list,” he said. “She called me a murderer after I was acquitted by a jury of my peers.”
He also added that he planned on going after those who called him a white supremacist.
“We are going to hold everybody who’s lied about me accountable, such as everybody who’s lied, called me a white supremacist,” he said. “They’re all going to be held accountable, and we’re going to handle them in a courtroom.”
Rittenhouse’s announcement comes at a time when right-wing criticism towards the mainstream media is at an all-time high.
