In spite of the economic uncertainty most Americans are facing amidst the COVID-19 global pandemic, some celebrities are still bringing in some serious cash flow. Forbes just released its 2020 list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities, and there’s no surprise to see some of the entertainers and athletes who made the cut.
Kylie Jenner tops the list with $590 million, given the success of the sale of her 51 percent stake in her cosmetics brand earlier this year. Keeping it in the family, Kanye West appears second on the list with $170 million. His Yeezy sneaker deal with Adidas largely contributed to his overall earnings. Tyler Perry, Lebron James, and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson all made the top ten, each with individual earnings well above $80 million.
The list continues with mega stars like talk show host and comedian, Ellen DeGeneres at $84 million, NBA player Stephen Curry with $74.4 million, and Pop Star Ariana Grande with $72 million. Celebs with earnings over $60 million include, talk show host and Oprah protege, Dr. Phil, singer Ed Sheeran, NBA player Kevin Durant, pop star Taylor Swift, Golfer Tiger Woods, and Rapper Post Malone.
NBA player Russel Westbrook along with music moguls, Diddy, and Jay-Z, are listed with individual earnings exceeding $50 million. Additionally, high earners like Drake, Kim Kardashian West, James Harden, J-Lo, Giannis Antetokounmpo, Deontay Wilder, Rihanna, Will Smith, Kyrie Irving, Travis Scott, Kevin Hart, Oprah, DJ Khaled, Serena Williams and newcomer Naomi Osaka each appear on the top 100 list.
