Just weeks after the Vintage T-shirt fiasco that left the Jenner sisters on the receiving end of a lawsuit for the unauthorized use of photos, Kylie Jenner has been slapped with another lawsuit for stealing.
According to TMZ, famed painter Sara Pope filed a suit against the reality star for the unauthorized use of her artwork to promote Jenner’s new reality show, “Life of Kylie.” In the court documents, Pope called out the reality star for her history of unauthorized use of pictures and images for her brand, mentioning the Tupac shirts and another lip artist.
In the past, fans also accused Jenner of stealing and recreating her lip kits line from the cosmetics line, Colourpop. But now, according to Pope, Jenner copied one of her most famous pieces and recreated for her show promo.
Back in 2015, Pope, who has had work featured in L.A. NYC and galleries overseas, created a mouth, biting a set of glossy lips and called it the “Temptation Neon.” Two years later, Pope said the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner klan jacked her logo without permission. So, Pope is taking her to court.
Pope is suing Jenner and NBC Universal for the unauthorized use of her artwork. However, sources close to the production of Jenner’s new show says the design was created by a third party, and Jenner was not directly involved.
