Kyrie Irving is set to possibly play with the Nets during their next game against the Grizzlies on Sunday.
The suspended All-Star has almost finished the process in order to return to the court. However, he won’t be playing with the Nets against the Trail Blazers this Thursday, ESPN reported.
Even though Irving will have missed eight straight games, this one might be his last time sitting out.
“I think overall [general manager Sean Marks is] in constant communication with the league and [Nets owner] Joe Tsai, and will fill me in on a kind of need basis,” coach Jacque Vaughn said. “I checked in with him [Tuesday], told him shootaround was great. Ready to coach this group. And that’s kind of where we leave it. [Marks] tells me when he has an update, he will let me know.”
