A California man has been rescued after he got “stuck” in a palm tree 40 feet from the ground.
The Los Angeles Fire Department had to come and save a man after he got “stuck” on South Alexandria Avenue in Koreatown around 10:15 a.m., People reports.
The good news is the unidentified man is okay, but the department said it doesn’t know the extent of any possible injuries. According to a spokesperson for the LAFD, the man was exactly 40 feet from the ground and “was alert and speaking with firefighters but extremely fatigued.”
In order to get the man down, firefighters had to use two trucks to employ their aerial ladders so the man would be secure from above and below, a release stated. Firefighters then strapped a harness on the man and “doubly” securing him before carrying him down. An ambulance was waiting on the ground for him, reports People.
The Los Angeles Daily reports the man was hospitalized, and he is in stable condition.
