Music mogul L.A. Reid, former CEO of Sony Music Entertainment’s Epic Records, is now making a comeback to the music biz.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
According to the New York Post, Reid has teamed up with Charles Goldstuck, former executive chairman of TouchTunes Interactive Networks, to launch Hitco, a music, and publishing company.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Reid took a hiatus from the industry after reports surfaced of sexual harassment allegations against him.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
As for Goldstuck, who is best known as Clive Davis’ right-hand man, he lists himself as founder and co-chairman of Hitco on his personal website.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
Goldstuck spoke highly of Reid saying he is “a highly accomplished operating executive and investor with experience ranging from recorded music, music publishing, and technology.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
In May 2017, Reid was let go from Sony after a female assistant at Epic accused him of sexual harassment.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀
During Reid’s time with the company, the label’s roster included some of music’s biggest stars such as Future, DJ Khaled, Mariah Carey and Diddy’s Bad Boy Records.
