La La Anthony Talks Co-Starring with Yung Miami in New Eddie Murphy Movie, Mom Life, Securing the Bag and More

From hosting to brand deals and acting, La La Anthony shows the world why she has the nickname of La La “Get To The Bag” Anthony.

The radio personality-turned actor recently announced on Instagram that she’s starring in Eddie Murphy and Johna Hill’s new movie on Netflix. La also told Baller Alert that Yung Miami also joined her on the cast. “The running joke on set with the cast was that I was Caresha’s [Yung Miami] acting coach,” she said. “We had such a great time.”

Nia Long and Lauren London are also set to be in the movie. “When you have to be away from your home — it’s great to have a second family,” said La La. She said being around Lauren’s radiant energy and having Nia Long there was a great experience for her.

Animated comedy series, “The Freak Brothers,” is a new “bag” La La got into this year. The producers of the hit series “Power” also happened to be the same producers for “The Freak Brothers” and asked La La to be a part. “I started my career in radio, so I’m no stranger to doing voice-over work. She said this was a great opportunity because she also wanted to do an animated series.

“If it’s one thing I got, it’s my voice, so I know I can do this,” said La La. Gretchen is the name of her character in the uncensored comedy show. Tiffany Haddish, John Goodman, and Woody Harrelson are some of the main characters in the series. New episodes premiere every Sunday on Tubi.

The actress also revealed that she’d have a significant role in season two of Black Mafia Family.

She recently dropped a collection with Pretty Little Thing, and the girls are eating it up. “I’m glad everyone got a little piece of me,” she said. La said her PYT collection is affordable, for all sizes, and all-inclusive.

During the PYT photoshoot, La La said Teyana Taylor was very hands-on. “She helped me with my poses, how to suck my stomach in, and how to arch my back. It was funny,” she said. The businesswoman said her Teyana and La La had known each other for many years, and it was great to work with her.
