Ladies, Check Your Attitude At The Door!

Ladies, we are being made a fool of. On television, in public and in the comfort of our homes, our attitudes are leaving us embarrassed and its getting out of hand. Our attitudes aren’t allowing us to build friendships and unions the way we were once able to. Let’s take a moment to analyze what might have changed.

I was watching this weeks episode of Basketball Wives and I noticed that the attitudes started immediately. The attitudes here were based on past feelings. But why was the attitude necessary? If you have ill feelings towards someone is it entirely necessary to be catty and uncalled for? Yelling, throwing drinks on each other, pulling out hair, it all makes you classless in the end. At the end of the day, it doesn’t even matter what you were arguing about because you both look like idiots. So you’re yelling at the top of your lungs, cursing ol’ girl out and demanding attention, do you think you made her look like the fool? No, not really. So whats an alternative to rekindling old beef? Get over it! So someone you hate from your past is back? Don’t give them the time of day. Watch the reaction you get from them then. 

I also noticed that we give our men attitude. When a man works hard, but it’s not hard enough for us we’re the first ones to tear him down. If a man approaches us but we’re not interested, we catch an attitude. Yet so many wonder why they are single or only attract the wrong type of guy. Well, attitude is everything! Any man who is turned on by a girl who always has her face turned up, yells obscenities all the time and all around doesn’t know how to control herself is probably the type of man you want to avoid. Your constant frowning is scaring away the good guys. At this point you’re lucky if anyone wants to be around you.

Then there are the women who are just catty for no reason. In the workplace they are the ones who will hate you the minute they see you, simply because they view you as their competition. There are women who hate you just because their friend(s) hate you, without knowing a single thing about you. There are those who have lived their whole lives as if they were still the mean girls in high school. Face it, these women are only showing the world how truly ugly they are on the inside. Nothing goes well for those types of “ugly” people. As a whole, us women have a lot of growing to do. We went from fighting for equal rights to dragging each other down. Now, I’m not calling for a cumbaya session or girl power, but I definitely think some women need to check their attitudes at the door!
