Singer and actress Lady Gaga dragged Mike Pence and his wife, calling them the worst examples of what it means to be a Christian.
On Jan. 19, Gaga performed at the Park Theater in Vegas, and during her set, she took a moment to discuss the country’s current political climate – specifically Pence and his wife Karen Pence.
The singer first questioned when Trump would reopen the government, and moved on to Karen continuing her role as a teacher at Immanuel Christian School in Virginia. Immanuel Christian is a school that seeks to ban LGBTQ students and teachers who support them. Gaga then unloaded a slew of attacks against the Pences.
“And to Mike Pence who thinks that it’s okay that his wife works at a school that bans LGBTQ — you’re wrong. You’re the worst representation of what it means to be a Christian,” said Gaga.
“I am a Christian woman, and what I do know about Christianity is that we bear no prejudice and everybody is welcome. So you can take all that disgrace, Mr. Pence, and look yourself in the mirror and you’ll find it right there.”
