According to a tweet from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, mandatory evacuations have been ordered for the Topanga Canyon area affected by the Palisades Fire. The site is located about 20 miles south of downtown Los Angeles.
Zones 4 and 6 were designated for evacuation by the department. According to the tweet, zone 4 is everyone east of Topanga Canyon between the Community House and View Ridge. Zone 6 is everyone who is located north of Entrada, south of Oakwood, and east of Henry Ridge.Â
According to CNN, 750 acres have burned in the Palisades Fire. There is zero percent containment.Â
It is unclear how many residents and homes the evacuation has impacted at this time. No injuries have been reported as a result of the fire. The origin of the fire is still under investigation.Â
