The drug test results are in for Lakeisha Holloway, the woman responsible for mowing down 37 people on the Las Vegas Strip.
Holloway says she was sober at the time of the incident that left one dead, but did admit to being very fatigue. According to her toxicology test results, the 24 year old tested positive for marijuana and marijuana metabolites. Her blood was 3.5 ng/mL and the metabolite was 23.6 ng/mL. In simpler terms, Holloway was over the legal marijuana limit in Nevada. However, her defense attorney believes the levels are too low to suggest Holloway was impaired by the substance.
On the night in question, Holloway drove several blocks on the side walk with her 3-year old daughter in the back seat of her car, plowing dozens of unexpected pedestrians. She faces charges of murder, child endangerment and failure to stop at the scene of an accident. Holloway is jailed and on suicide watch pending her court date scheduled for January 20. It’s safe to say that the test results are not going to help her case.
