Lamar Odom was scheduled to make an appearance in NYC to not only see his children with Liza Morales, but also to meet with several basketball teams and show them he is clean and sober.
Because obviously, no team would sign Lamar without a successful stint in rehab, on Tuesday Lamar underwent blood and urine tests for drugs, and he tested NEGATIVE for drugs. Tabloids and blogs began to report his plans and unfortunately the basketball star chickened out and decided not to take the trip and as of now, has not rescheduled.
Lamar’s children are having the toughest time out of everyone. Lamar has three children, 13 year old Destiny and 10 year old Lamar Jr are with ex-girlfriend Liza Morales. Lamar has stopped talking to them on the phone as frequently as he used to but they are WELL aware of what is going on.
“The kids absolutely know what is going on with their dad. Their mom tries to protect them from the headlines about Lamar’s drug use & cheating allegations,” and insider tells Radar Online.
Radar Online also reports that the kids are getting teased in school. It’s been reported in the past that Lamar’s daughter has suffered from depression and used to cut herself.
If there is any good reason to get clean and sober, Lamar needs to see his children are at the top of that list.
