Lamar Odom Was On Drugs While Playing For Mavericks & Believes Kardashian’s Are Leaking Story

More has come out in the Lamar Odom drug saga. On Monday, a visibly thinner Lamar Odom was spotted driving around the San Fernando Valley gated community where he and Khloe live. Had Khloe met his ultimatum? We don’t know but this all falls a day after it was reported that Khloe and Lamar met in a secret location prior. 

Although all of this drug talk is coming out now, sources say that Lamar’s drug use has been going on for a long time and there is evidence that he was dealing with these drug problems during his short stint with the Dallas Mavericks. Could this really be why Mark Cuban gave him the axe and sent him to the D-League? 

In March 2012, while in Memphis for an Away game against the Grizzlies, sources connected to a Westin hotel say that Lamar left major damage to one of the guest rooms. Hotel employees found major carpet damage, including quarter-sized burn marks. The damage was so bad, the hotel had to replace the carpeting in the room. Employees also found white powder on the desk blotter and the room reeked of noxious smoke. It was obvious that major drug usage had been going on.  Other hotels, where Lamar was known to stay, complained about similar instances after the Baller checked out.  Sources tell TMZ that during at least part of the time he was playing for the Mavs, Lamar was smoking Oxycontin and cocaine which as you can see later escalated to crack.


Lamar, who is preparing to come out and admit he has a problem with prescription drugs, believes that his wife’s family is leaking these horrific stories. A family insider tells Radar Online, Lamar “absolutely believes Khloe’s family has been leaking stories to the tabloid press about his drug use, and his trip to rehab last year. Khloe has been very private about Lamar’s drug addiction, as she had done for the past year.” They also say “The last thing Lamar needs is for his battle to get sober made public. Khloe is also extremely angry that details about Lamar’s past trip to rehab and recent failed intervention were published on various gossip websites.”

I think it’s disgusting for Kris & Co to ruin Lamar’s brand in attempts to clean up her own, especially if this is something they’ve been holding in secret for years anyway. But that’s what happens when you marry into the Kardashian Klan. Be forewarned Kanye.
