St. Louis Rams cornerback Lamarcus Joyner has been fined for a illegal hit on Minnesota Vikings quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
It was during Sunday’s game that Joyner hit Bridgewater in the head while he was sliding on a run. The act  drew a 15-yard penalty for  unnecessary roughness which took Bridgwwater out the game.
The NFL issued Joyner a fine of $23,152, which he states he expected on Tuesday.
“I can’t fix what happened. Like I said, it wasn’t intentional, I know in my heart that it wasn’t intentional and I sincerely apologize for it. I hope he’s ready to go for his team on Sunday and continues to win football games for them, because that’s a good organization over,” said Joyner.
Currently Bridgewater is going through concussion protocol.
