In the wake of Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s heartbreaking revelation that they miscarried their most recent pregnancy, Lance Gross opened up about his family’s own tragedy.
According to Page Six, Gross knows exactly what the couple is going through, as he and his wife Rebecca have experienced their own pain. “It puts a damper on the mood in our house because we have experienced it before. We know exactly how it feels,” the “House of Payne” star said.
The Howard University grad is working to promote One Yard, the school’s virtual homecoming event but revealed that seeing the model share her devastation triggered him. “It takes you back to that moment … It’s like little triggers. It’s a hard thing,” he said.
Earlier this week, Chrissy Teigen announced the loss of her baby via Instagram.
“We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital,” She said, “But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever. To our Jack – I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive. We will always love you.”
“We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience. But every day can’t be full of sunshine. On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it,” her post continued.
Later that Wednesday, Teigen tweeted, “Driving home from the hospital with no baby. How can this be real.”
