Landlords Are Asking Female Tenants For Sexual Favors In Exchange For Rent

Some landlords are preying on vulnerable women and asking for sexual favors in exchange for rent money, according to reports.

U.S. immigration attorney Kevin Block told CNN that some predatory landlords are asking for “other arrangements” when tenants ask about rent.

Other landlords have suggested sending sexual photos to exploit their tenants who are struggling to pay rent.

“I am concerned because reported incidents indicate a greater number of unreported incidents,” Block told CNN.

This comes as 17 million Americans have filed for unemployment, and millions of others have been laid off or furloughed during the coronavirus pandemic.

While in some cities, landlords cannot evict tenants, it appears that isn’t stopping them from trying to take advantage of those in a vulnerable position.
