The Los Angeles Police Department has opened an internal affairs investigation into a front desk officer’s response following the murder of rapper Nipsey Hussle.
On Monday, the LAPD confirmed that it would be looking into the negligence of an officer. During a grand jury testimony, the woman, who drove alleged shooter Eric Holder from the scene, went to the 77th Street Station because her car was on the news, NBC Los Angeles reports.
When she arrived, she was dismissed by a desk officer who told her not to worry about it. The woman informed the detectives of the incident later.
Holder has pleaded not guilty in the murder of beloved rapper Hussle Tha Great.
The story is still developing.
