Larsa Pippen spoke out about her ex-husband, NBA legend Scottie Pippen, saying he had a habit of “punishing” her whenever he didn’t get his way.
“I don’t even know what’s happening,” Larsa, 47, said about her divorce. On Thursday’s episode, Pippen discussed the sore subject with “Real Housewives of Miami” co-star Alexia Echevarria and admitted that she was “kind of trying to force him to sell” their Miami home.
The former Chicago Bull, 56, then demanded that his ex-wife and mother of his four children send their daughter, Sophia, “back to LA.”
“I was traumatized,” Larsa continued. “If he doesn’t get his way, he punishes me. He’s like The Punisher.”
During a confessional, she also explained that the former NBA star “is used to controlling the narrative.”
“This is like his last piece of control that he’s got over me and the kids. He’s only punishing me because I’m making him sell the house.”
The two married in 1997 and were officially divorced on Dec. 15, 2021, after being separated for three years. They have four children: Scotty Jr., 21, Preston, 20, Justin, 17, and 14-year-old Sophia, Page Six reported.
Larsa believes Scottie is purposely “pushing all the buttons to let me know that he’s still in charge and because I’m doing whatever makes me happy.”
She also spoke about dating married Minnesota Timberwolves player Malik Beasley, who is 25.
“So dating someone younger makes me happy? I’m doing it!” Larsa said. “Which leads me to believe that it’s a jealousy problem. That jealousy is the underlying issue.”
However, she did admit that just five years ago, she never thought about getting a divorce because Scottie spoiled her to the point that she’d never settle for less from a future prospect.
“I would expect so much,” she said when talking about looking for someone new. “I would expect a guy to do so much for me because that’s what I’ve had. If you’re not going to do a whole bunch of things for me, then why would I want to be with you? I’d rather be alone.”
Echevarria also shared her thoughts on the couple’s split in her own confessional, saying her friend “needs to cut that umbilical cord. She’s just too close to Scottie, and the truth is no man that she ever dates is going to be okay with that. And I don’t even think that’s good for Larsa.”
