Latto has taken another shot at Ice Spice in a social media post celebrating her historic performance at Atlanta’s Birthday Bash concert over the weekend.
Just before she was set to take the stage at the Hot 107.9 summer concert on Saturday (June 22), the rapper posted on X (formerly Twitter) a photo of a cake shaped like the poop emoji with a message that read, “Holy shit, you’re Headlining.” She captioned the post, “Think I’m the shit, bitch?????,” a direct reference to Ice Spice’s single “Think U the Shit (Fart),” which fans have always interpreted as a diss aimed at Latto.
Back in February, the Bronx rap star seemingly took aim at Latto in her song “Think U the Shit (Fart)” with the lyrics: “I got my foot on they necks, I can’t let up/ She all on the floor, told her get up.”
Latto fired back at Ice Spice in her song “Sunday Service” with the lines: “Think I’m the shit, bitch, I know it, ho/ Jesus walked on water, I got ice boilin’ though.” The song includes other jabs, such as: “These bitches corny, soon as monkey see, then you know monkey do/ Do you rap or do you tweet?/ ‘Cause I can’t tell, get in the booth, bitch” and “I just want a one on one, don’t know why she so nervous.” Latto also warned of potential drama if they’re ever booked on the same bill: “Every time y’all book me with them hoes, it’s gon’ be big drama.”
Ice Spice initially described “Think U the Shit (Fart)” as an “homage” to female rappers past and present — “even the bitches I’m beefing with.” However, she later admitted that the song was indeed about Latto.
In March, it was announced that Latto would make history as the first woman to ever headline Atlanta’s Birthday Bash concert, hosted by Radio One station Hot 107.9 every summer. She shared the news with a video clip recreating a scene from her latest music video while heading to the radio station wearing a shirt that reads, “Headliner.”
