In the three years since losing her soulmate Nipsey Hussle, Lauren London remains positive and spreads a message of healing.
The “ATL” actress sat down with life coach Jay Shetty for his “On Point Podcast,” where she explained that her connection to God helped her get through the untimely death of Nipsey, who was gunned down in 2019.
“When Nip passed, I felt like that was when I had to really really get to know God personally. Not in theory, not in the idea,” she explained before adding that she began wanting to live more intentionally once tragedy struck. The star said that with being “forced” into being alone and having nothing else to stand on, God became her greatest protector, not only through prayer but with applying the principles to her life.
The 37-year-old then spoke on how having her life derailed and how she has learned to let go of the pain.
“I had to surrender my idea of what I thought my life should be,” she shared before adding, “I flow with the river. I’m not holding onto the rocks. I’m not grasping onto things that you have to let go of,” London shared.
Her words of inspiration went viral on social media, with people sharing the clip and praising her for the much-needed wisdom.
Lauren London said “ it’s so much power in letting go and flowing with The river. Roll with the river and don’t fight with the rocks .” As much as we want to have control over our life , we don’t. When everything don’t go as plan don’t stress . This is apart of your journey✨

when Lauren London said “focus on your enlightenment and flow with the river, not fight with the rocks.” i felt that completely because we are never in control as much as we’d like to think, but surrendering to that knowledge is the ultimate lesson in control itself.
