Lauryn Hill will be performing on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage cruise to raise money for HBCU students.
Former radio host Tom Joyner recently revealed that Lauryn is attending his annual cruise for a good cause. Lauryn is joining the cruise in an effort to raise money for HBCU students.
“I am so excited that Ms. Lauryn Hill is performing on the Tom Joyner Fantastic Voyage 2023,” Joyner said. She is one of the best of all time.”
He continued, “Cruisers coming to Party with a Purpose and help raise money for HBCU scholarships won’t be disappointed with what will be an amazing show!”
The annual cruise is scheduled to sail from May 20-27. The cruise will feature 40 different performances and appearances from celebs, seminars and theme nights.
If fans aren’t able to catch Lauryn’s performance at sea, there may be a possibility to catch her on the road next year. The singer recently hinted at a possible 2023 tour to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her album “The Miseducation Of Lauryn Hill.”
“25 years on, so we gonna be back with those songs the way you can recognize them, aye?” Lauryn said during her performance last month.
The 1998 album gained success after debuting at number 1 on the Billboard 200. During the first week of its release, the album sold over 422,000 copies. In February 2021, the album received Diamond status by the RIAA. To this day, the album remains the highest-selling female rap album in history with over 20 million sales worldwide.
