LaVar Ball is proud of LiAngelo’s musical success even though he still hopes to see his son in the NBA one day.

The Ball family is proving they’re thriving in multiple domains, and LaVar recently shared his thoughts on LiAngelo’s “catchy” tune, “Tweaker.”
“As a family, I hate to be good at everything, but we are,” LaVar said on the “Stacey King’s Gimme The Hot Sauce” podcast.
LaMelo, born in 2001, is playing for the Charlotte Hornets and is a strong contender for the All-Star reserves. Meanwhile, Lonzo, the oldest, born in 1997, has regained his health and is back with the Chicago Bulls. LiAngelo, born in 1998, has had a more challenging path, struggling to find his footing in the NBA. Currently playing for the Astros de Jalisco in Mexico, LiAngelo has still found success through his music career, where he’s known as “G3 GELO.”
“Tweaker,” has become a viral sensation, garnering over 27 million streams on Spotify and more than nine million views on World Star Hip Hop’s YouTube. Even the Cleveland Cavaliers blasted the track in their locker room. Def Jam Records reportedly offered Gelo a $13 million contract.
LaVar says despite his rap success, LiAngelo is still committed to becoming a star on the court, even willing to accept a small salary in the G-League to show his skills. Nevertheless, the former athlete says “It’s a beautiful thing to see him smile.”
