One of the hardest things for a rebel to do is to forgive. It doesn’t matter how big or small the situation may really be, it’s going to always be big in their eyes.
When someone has broken their trust, it’s kind of hard to build that back up. Remember when you were younger and you lied to your mother about where you were or who you were with? After finding out the truth, which they always did, they expressed their disappointment in you and how you broke their trust in you. That was something you hated hearing. You tried everything to earn that trust back, hoping she has forgiven you.
The thing is, we often forgive for the lies, deception, and lack of loyalty but we never forget. Many of us may say we forgive the person but honestly, have you?

In order to remove that burden off of your chest, we have to learn to forgive. Now, just because you forgive someone doesn’t mean be stupid or naive. It simply means “I️ will forgive you but trust and believe I’m not forgetting what you did.”

We are all a work in progress and will eventually be able to let certain issues go. You cannot allow situations to consume your life.
