Lebron James is entering the podcast world.
Monday, it was announced that James and former NBA player JJ Reddick will release the first episode of their joint podcast “Mind The Game” on Tuesday. The podcast will be available weekly on YouTube and all other podcast platforms, and the first episode will premiere at 7 a.m. Eastern Time on Tuesdays. James’ company, Uninterrupted, will produce the podcast, and Redick’s production company, ThreeFourTwo Productions.
The announcement accompanied a teaser of the Lakers star and Reddick sharing wine and discussing coverages in a half-court set, specifically during OOB (out of bounds) plays.
James shares with Reddick how he believes the ‘pick to picker’ could be fine-tuned, and they went through multiple variations of how the inbounder, the player receiving the pick, and the player executing off the pick and roll.
This show seems to revolve around a high-level nuance within the analytics and sets of basketball. Two of the smartest NBA minds in the multimedia space collaborating on this is a fans’ dream.
Excited to announce my new podcast with @kingjames, @ThreeFourTwopro, and @uninterrupted: @mindthegamepod. First episode drops tomorrow at 7am ET/4am PT.
