LeBron James entered the NBA’s covid-19 health and safety protocols, the Lakers said Tuesday. The all-star will not play in Tuesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings.
NBA players enter heath and safety protocols after either testing positive for Covid-19 or being flagged in contact tracing of an infected person while unvaccinated. The team has not specified why LeBron has been benched. However, in late September, the superstar player confirmed he had been vaccinated.
Players who test positive are required to be away from their team for a minimum of 10 days unless they return two negative PCR tests in 24 hours.
Sources told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski that LeBron is expected to miss several games.
