LeBron James Files Trademark Request For ‘Taco Tuesday’

LeBron James is delving back into the business world again as an entrepreneur beyond the sport of basketball and filed trademarking documents for one super popular pastime and phrase “Taco Tuesday.”

James has been famously linked to the phrase this summer, regularly posting videos of himself enjoying tacos every Tuesday and consistently using the phrase himself. LBJ Trademarks LLC, one of James’ companies, filed to trademark “Taco Tuesday” with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office on August 15.

According to USA Today, the filing says the trademark will pertain to downloadable audio/visual works;

advertising and marketing services provided by means of indirect methods of marketing communications, namely, social media; podcast services; and online entertainment services.

Although James did not create the phrase, he still has a good chance of acquiring the trademark. We shall see!
