LeBron James has broken his silence regarding the medical emergency his son, Bronny James, suffered just days ago.
On Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers star took to Twitter to thank fans for their continued support of his entire family during this difficult time that has sent shockwaves through the sports community. Though he did not elaborate on the specifics of Bronny’s condition, James hinted that the teen basketball player was on the road to recovery.
“I want to thank the countless people sending my family love and prayers. We feel you, and I’m so grateful. Everyone’s doing great. We have our family together, safe and healthy, and we feel your love,” James tweeted.

Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest on Monday while practicing at the USC Galen Center in Los Angeles. He was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit. However, once his condition was stable, he was moved from the ICU, though he was still receiving care, according to a spokesperson for the family who spoke with USA Today the day after the incident happened. It’s still unclear what led to the cardiac arrest or whether or not there is a history of health issues. In his Twitter statement, James said he would give additional updates in time but simply wanted to express his gratitude to all those who wished Bronny well.
“Will have more to say when we’re ready, but I wanted to tell everyone how much your support has meant to all of us! #JamesGang,” he concluded the tweet.
Let’s continue to send Bronny and the entire James family positive energy.
