During NBA All-Star Weekend, Miami Heat’s Chris Bosh missed out on several events, including the 3-Point Contest and the All-Star game, due to health issues. A few days ago, it was confirmed that he is dealing with blood clot issues once again. Bosh previously dealt with blood clots in his lungs last year, which caused him to miss the whole second half of the 2014-2015 NBA season. Now, he is dealing with a blood clot in his calf, and is currently being treated with blood thinners.
His former teammate, LeBron James, commented on Bosh’s condition on Wednesday, expressing concern and sadness for his friend.
“There’s nothing really I can say to make things better for him,” James said, according to Cleveland.com. “I texted him today and told him I was sorry and I hate that he has to go through this again.
“Guy means so much to not only the Heat family but his personal family as well. Just a great guy, a professional, a great guy and for something like this to happen to him after he was cleared, it just sucks. It sucks big time. His health is the No. 1 care and obviously basketball comes secondary to what he’s going through right now. It’s just tough.”
Bosh will remain off the court until further notice.
