With sixteen seasons in the NBA, countless television projects, multiple investments and a public school for the underprivileged, LeBron James has now decided to take his talents to the health and wellness industry.
A team, spearheaded by James, including Lindsey Vonn, Cindy Crawford and Arnold Schwarzenegger, joined forces to create a health and wellness subscription service called Ladder to help promote a healthy living.
According to Refinery29, the initial idea came from James, who at the time, wanted to create something to help him perform better during the season. Then, once Vonn learned that all the products were safe to use even under strict doping laws, she signed on for the cause.
“It’s not just about supplements or protein shakes, it’s more about healthy living and helping people become more educated so that they can live their life to their full potential,” Vonn said of the project.
“When I joined Ladder, I wanted to make sure that it’s simple and actually useful to the consumer,” she continued. “That you look at the back of the label and it’s very few ingredients and they’re all things you can actually pronounce.”
According to the publication, as part of the new creative way to serve and educate consumers on health and wellness through a subscription service, users take a quick on the Ladder website to identify their goals. Then, advisors guide the consumers to the workouts and products that best support their goal, and the best part about it – you don’t have to be a professional athlete or supermodel to benefit.
The product can be used for anyone looking for new ways to get extra and/or different nutrients in their life, regardless of their career path or activity level.
