Lebron James To Opt Out Of Contract & Become Free Agent

According to his agent, Lebron James has decided to exercise his early-termination option with Miami and become a free agent this Summer. With the announcement of this news it’s clear to see that many Heat fans are a bit worried about what may come next. 

A source tells AP Sports that Lebron does not know where he wants to play yet. Lebron has said that he wouldn’t be making any decisions until after he returns from vacation with his family. Lebron’s wife Savannah caused quite a stir when she posted an Instagram of Akron, OH earlier this week with the caption “Home sweet home!! The countdown is real!” and while many thought that was a sign that Lebron will be taking his talents back to the Cavs, I think she was saying that was the destination of the family trip. 

Don’t read too much into it, folks. I personally believe that Lebron will stick around with Miami for another couple of seasons at least. I guess we’ll await his final decision like everyone else.
